The story

Manchester City's new PUMA Away kit for the 24/25 season marks the 25th anniversary of one of the most iconic moments in the club's history.

The vintage-inspired design pays homage to the kit worn during an unforgettable comeback when City triumphed over Gillingham in the Second Division Play-Off final in dramatic fashion, in May 1999.

The new Away kit pays tribute to the iconic navy-blue jersey with neon yellow vertical stripes worn during that unforgettable match, where City staged a remarkable comeback from two goals down to win on penalties, thanks to Paul Dickov's last-minute equalizer.

Paul Dickov, Manchester City Club Ambassador, remarked: "It's great to see the Away kit revealed today. The 1999 Play-Off final remains a special moment for City fans worldwide, and this kit is a fitting tribute to that historic day."

Marco Mueller, PUMA's Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel, commented: "This kit reflects a pivotal moment in Manchester City's history and embodies the unwavering spirit of its supporters. We aimed to blend historical significance with modern performance technology, while also embracing sustainability."

In line with PUMA's commitment to sustainability, the Replica jerseys are produced using the RE:FIBRE initiative, which transforms recycled textile waste into new materials, promoting a more circular and eco-friendly production process.

The 2024/25 Away kit will be available in both Authentic and Replica versions. The Authentic jersey, worn by players like Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker, features PUMA's ULTRAWEAVE fabric for lightweight, high-performance wear.

The Replica jersey offers the same classic look with a relaxed fit, perfect for fans on match days and beyond. Both versions incorporate PUMA's dryCELL technology to keep wearers dry and comfortable.

The Manchester City Away kit will be available from August 15 at PUMA Retail stores, PUMA.com, Sportsmans Warehouse, Totalsports, and Studio 88, priced at R1399 for adults and R1199 for juniors.
