The story
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies touched down in the United States to compete in the Women's Cup in Kansas, starting today, 14 August until the 17th.
Coach Jerry Tshabalala's troops will face Kansas City Current on 14 August, while Spanish giants, Atlético de Madrid will take on INAC Kobe in the tournament's opening matches.
The winners of both encounters will compete for the Women's Cup title on the 17th, with the third-place match also taking place that same day.
The players and coaches spoke about what it means for them to travel to the United States and take part in The Women's Club for the very first time, speaking mainly on their winning mentality:

Tshabalala shared his excitement about the opportunity to participate in this prestigious tournament, expressing his enthusiasm for the upcoming challenge when speaking to his club's media team:
"We are so excited to be here to learn a lot from different teams with different playing styles. As much as we are the African Champions, we are here to test ourselves on a global stage, gain valuable experience and measure ourselves against some of the best teams in the world.
"Our focus is on showcasing our talent, growing as a team and representing Africa with pride. This tournament is an incredible opportunity for us to learn, adapt and elevate our game to the next level," concluded the coach.
