The story
Today, adidas and Liverpool Football Club have finalized a multi-year partnership, making the sports brand the club's official kit supplier starting from the 2025/26 season.
Beginning on 1 August, Liverpool FC will don adidas kits for the third time in its illustrious history, with the brand providing matchday kits, training apparel, and cultural wear for the men's, women's, and academy teams, as well as LFC Foundation staff.
adidas and Liverpool FC have a rich history of collaboration, having worked together during some of the club's most iconic periods, from 1985-1996 and again from 2006-2012.
During these eras, the club won a host of trophies, including three domestic league titles and eleven domestic cups, with some of the jerseys from this time being among the most beloved in the Reds' history.

This announcement comes at an exciting time for the club, with the Arne Slot's men leading the Premier League and advancing to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, while the women's team continues to establish itself as a dominant force in English domestic competitions.
With Liverpool joining adidas, the German brand is set to dominate Premier League kits, joining Arsenal, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham. This partnership strengthens adidas' presence in English club football.
Liverpool's past adidas kits are nothing short of iconic, with many retro designs still highly coveted. Reuniting with adidas promises to create more memorable kits for the club's history, a collaboration that will likely produce plenty of heat!
"Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome adidas back into the LFC family once again. We have enjoyed fantastic success together in the past and created some of the most loved LFC kits of all time," said Billy Hogan, Liverpool FC's chief executive office.
"It's the perfect time for us to partner together once again and we look forward to creating more iconic kits and continued on the pitch success, that will build on our wonderful, shared history," he added, as quoted by adidas in their press release.
This deal builds on existing relationships between adidas and many Liverpool Football Club players, including the high-flying Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Darwin Núñez, Alexis Mac Allister, Diogo Jota, Luis Díaz, Ryan Gravenberch, and Ladies team ballers; Fuka Nagano, Mia Enderby and Jenna Clark.
