The story
South African powerhouses Mamelodi Sundowns will face Esperance de Tunis at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday, 1 April, in the first leg of their highly anticipated CAF Champions League quarter-final showdown.
For Sundowns, this match presents a chance for redemption against a team that defeated them 2-0 on aggregate in last season's semi-finals, with a 1-0 victory both at home and away, with their current coach Miguel Cardoso orchestrating their 2023/24 CAF CL demise.
The ever-passionate Esperance fans have made their voices heard in preparation for this clash, with footage of them singing at the Gautrain station and outside Loftus doing the rounds online.
