Orlando Pirates registered back-to-back victories for the first time this DStv Diski Challenge season after hammering Marumo Gallants 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Gomolemo Khoto gave the Buccaneers an early lead and Njabulo Mndebele doubled their lead around the half-hour mark.
Relebohile Rotomo put the game beyond doubt for the Sea Robbers with 21 minutes remaining and Mehluleli Maphumulo rubbed salt into Gallants wounds with the fourth goal in the last eight minutes.
Sibusiso Nkosi scored a consolation goal for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa in stoppages from the penalty spot.
Kaizer Chiefs 1-1 TS Galaxy
Kaizer Chiefs extended their unbeaten run to three matches after they were held to a 1-1 draw by TS Galaxy on Saturday morning at Wits Football Stadium.
The sides could not get on the scoresheet in the first stanza and Wandile Duba eventually broke the deadlock for Chiefs on 68 minutes.
However, Banele Nosi restored parity for the Rockets in the last 15 minutes from the penalty spot.
Mamelodi Sundowns 2-2 Richards Bay
Mamelodi Sundowns extended their winless run to three matches after they held to a 2-2 draw by Richards Bay on Saturday afternoon at Wits Football Stadium.
Jerome Carelse handed Sundowns an early lead but Langelihle Mhlongo levelled matters for Bay on 25 minutes.
Yanela Mbuthuma gave the Natal Rich Boyz the lead two minutes later but Ofentse Mashiane restored parity for the Brazilians early in the second stanza.
Riandre Vries had a golden chance to snatch the winner for Surprise Moriri's charges from the penalty spot in the last 15 minutes but his looping shot cannoned off the crossbar.
Chippa United 1-5 SuperSport United
SuperSport United got back to winning ways after trouncing Chippa United 5-1 on Saturday afternoon at Wolfson Stadium courtesy of a brace by Shandre Campbell.
The sides went to the half-time break deadlocked but Campbell eventually broke the deadlock for SuperSport early in the second stanza.
Keenan Bezuidenhout doubled Matsatsantsa's lead on the hour-mark and Sibusiso Mazuko got the third goal ten minutes later, as the floodgates opened.
Chippa pulled a goal back in the last 15 minutes but that proved only to be a consolation, as Campbell restored a three-goal buffer ten minutes before time and completed his brace.
Thabang Mahlangu rounded off the scoring for rampant SuperSport in the last minute.
Cape Town City 2-2 Golden Arrows
Cape Town City's lead at the top of the table was cut down to two points after they were held by Golden Arrows in a four-goal thriller on Sunday afternoon at Malta Park Sports Complex.
Sabelo Duma broke the deadlock for Arrows shortly after the half-hour mark but Lumphumlo Sifumba restored parity for City early in the second stanza.
Luke Daniels gave the Citizens the lead on 64 minutes but Duma salvaged a point for Abafana Bes'thende and completed his brace seven minutes before time.
Maritzburg United 1-2 AmaZulu
AmaZulu went up to third in the standings after edging Maritzburg United 2-1 in the KwaZulu-Natal derby on Saturday morning at Harry Gwala Stadium.
Mlungisi Mahaye opened the scoring for AmaZulu on 17 minutes and Ngcobo levelled matters for Maritzburg ten minutes before the break.
Wandile Shelembe got what proved to be the winner for Usuthu just before the interval.
Sekhukhune United 3-1 Swallows
Sekhukhune United won their third consecutive game after thrashing Swallows 3-1 on Sunday morning at Wits Football Stadium.
Kutlwano Theoha gave Sekhukhune a perfect start with the opener within the first minute and Asekho Tiwana doubled their lead eight minutes later.
Ian Makaringe reduced the deficit for the Birds on 15 minutes but Leonardo Rooi restored a two-goal cushion for Babina Noko on the stroke of half-time.
