Pirates Do The Double Over Soweto Rivals Chiefs

Orlando Pirates 3-1 Kaizer Chiefs

Orlando Pirates did double over Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Diski Challenge this season after claiming a 3-1 win on Sunday afternoon.

The Buccaneers found the breakthrough on 23 minutes after Relebohile Ratomo converted a penalty, however Chiefs levelled matters through a penalty of their own from Donay Jansen.

Pirates restored their lead on the hour mark thanks to Siyabonga Ndlozi's powerful finish in the box.

Chiefs had a chance equalise two minutes later with a penalty, but Mfundo Vilakazi saw his spot-kick saved by Pirates goalkeeper Siyabonga Dladla.

The Buccaneers wrapped up the win with the third goal on 75 minutes, with substitute Mohau Nkota getting his name on the scoresheet.

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 SuperSport United

Mamelodi Sundowns ended SuperSport United's 11-game unbeaten run after claiming a 2-0 win at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

Sundowns took the lead in the 32nd minute through  Jerome Karelse 's composed finish after being set up by Siyabonga Mabena.

The lead was doubled before the halftime break, as Mabena turned provider once again to play in Karelese who fired home to complete his brace.

The Brazilians have now done the double over the Tshwane rivals this season.

Cape Town City 3-2 Stellenbosch FC

Cape Town City rallied back from two goals down to defeat Stellenbosch FC 3-2 on Sunday morning.

Stellies raced in to a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to strikes from Roy-Keane Avontuur and Vuyolwethu Andrieas.

Jaedin Rhodes pulled a goal back ten minutes after the break, before Luke Daniels and Jordan Allies completed the turnaround for the Citizens.

TS Galaxy 0-0 Richards Bay

TS Galaxy and Richards Bay FC could not be separated after playing to a goalless draw on Saturday afternoon.

The draw was the Rockets' sixth of the campaign, compared to the seven for the Natal Rich Boys.
