Kaizer Chiefs came from behind three times to edge SuperSport United in a seven-goal thriller on Sunday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.
Shandre Campbell, who plays for the first team, bagged a hat-trick on the day for the Pretoria outfit.
Chiefs eventually reduced the deficit on the stroke of half-time from the penalty spot and Amakhosi levelled matters early in the second stanza.
However, the Soweto giants showed great resolve to get themselves back into the clash, as a brace from Donay Jansen and further strikes from Thulani Mabaso and Omega Mdaka sealed the victory.
Orlando Pirates 4-0 Moroka Swallows
Orlando Pirates won back-to-back games after drubbing Moroka Swallows 4-0 thanks to a double by Mohau Nkota in the mini original Soweto derby on Saturday morning at Rand Stadium.
Lonwabo Magugwana broke the deadlock for Pirates just before the break but it took until the last seven minutes for the hosts to settle their nerves, as Lulama Nxumalo doubled their lead.
Mohau Nkota soon made it 3-0 for Joseph Makhanya's charges and completed the rout in the last minute, getting his brace in the process.
Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 Richards Bay
Mamelodi Sundowns finally won their first game of the season after thrashing Richards Bay 3-1 on Sunday morning at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Sundowns broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark and doubled their lead five minutes before the interval.
Siphesihle Buthelezi pulled aa goal back for the Natal Rich Boyz on the stroke of half-time.
The Brazilians wrapped up the game with the third goal in stoppage time.
Sekhukhune United 3-2 AmaZulu
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Keletso Sifama was on target for Sekhukhune United as they maintained their perfect start with a 3-2 win over AmaZulu on Saturday morning at Isak Steyl Stadium.
Kutlwano Majoro gave Sekhukhune an early lead and Usuthu levelled matters on the half-hour mark.
Sifama restored the lead for Babina early in the second stanza but the visitors equalised again on 67 minutes.
Sekhukhune were down to ten men with 13 minutes remaining after Taaibos was red-carded.
However, Jordan Marks snatched the winner for the Limpopo side in stoppage time.
Golden Arrows 2-2 Polokwane City
Golden Arrows came back from two goals down to salvage a draw against Polokwane City in a four-goal thriller on Saturday morning at Chatsworth Stadium.
Rise and Shine got two early goals from Thato Matli and Makhina.
However, Bonga Mkhize pulled a goal back for Arrows on the half-hour mark and Dunnet levelled matters two minutes before time.
