Chippa United head coach Morgan Mammila has hinted he may not be getting Orlando Pirates winger Azola Matrose back on loan at the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Pirates signed Matrose from Chippa ahead of the 2022/23 season but immediately loaned him to the Chilli Boys.

The 20-year-old made 16 appearances for Chippa last season and scored two goals. He has returned to Pirates for an assessment, ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The Siya crew recently reported that Matrose could be sent out on loan again but Mammila says he prefers not to have players on loan, so to focus only on players who belong at the Gqeberha-based side.
"He's with his mother body team at the moment, I'll leave it with the chairman (Siviwe Mpengesi) but my conversation with the chairman was that I'll be happy if I don't have any loan player," Mammila said on Marawa Sports Worldwide, when asked whether the club will retain Matrose.
"I just want to have players that belong to Chippa United. Even if we qualify for each and every tournament, we're not gonna go and knock on someone's door looking for players, because we'll have our own players."
The administrator-turned coach, however, pointed out that he has a great relationship with Matrose.
"I'm happy that he stays at Orlando Pirates. He's a big boy, he's my son. He knows I treat him like my son, we speak almost every day. Although he might not play now because he had an injury last season but it's for Pirates," he added.
