The player stayed for only one season in Gqeberha and left for Richards Bay FC for the current campaign after his contract was terminated in June.
It turns out that the 28-year-old had some outstanding payments owed to him by the Eastern Cape outfit which led to his legal team taking it up with the international governing body of association football.
Speaking exclusively to the Siya crew, Eben Koen of BDP Attorneys confirmed winning the case for Banda against Chippa.
"We won the case, Chippa didn't pay, and they were banned by FIFA. That is what I can say right now and the gist of it. They were banned yesterday (Tuesday)," said Koen.
According to sources, Chippa are expected to pay around R1.2 million in compensation to Banda.
