The future of former Kaizer Chiefs star midfielder Khama Billiat remains a mystery but it's understood his former teammate would get first preference for his club should Billiat consider a return to the PSL.
The Zimbabwean midfielder became a free agent after his contract expired at Amakhosi at the end of last season and the two parties could not agree on an extension.

Soccer Laduma previously reported that Billiat was due to train with Cape Town City, who have shown interest in signing the talismanic midfielder.
With the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker still a free agent, City are seemingly confident of fending off any competition in the PSL for Billiat, should he not secure a move abroad, after reaching out to the Zimbabwean via his long-time former teammate, Lebogang Manyama, who is the assistant coach at the Citizens.
Billiat and Manyama came through the ranks at Ajax Cape Town (renamed Cape Town Spurs) where they both made a name for themselves, before going on to different directions.
The duo rekindled their collegiality at Chiefs, signing in the same season, in the 2018/19 campaign after Billiat joined from the Brazilians and Manyama as a free agent after his stint at Turkish club Konyaspor.
The Citizens chairman John Comitis confirmed that he has not spoken to Billiat himself but their communication channel to the Zimbabwean is via Manyama.
"I have not had contact with Khama. To be honest we're waiting on him to make a decision on his future where he would want to see himself. I think he's still in the efforts to try something in the Middle East, which would rather be lucrative for him," Comitis said on Metro FM Sports.
"So we're sitting outside and waiting for his response.
"Lebo Manyama had the conversation (with Billiat). That is the content of the conversation," he explained.
Billiat is one of the best players to have played in the PSL with 97 goals in all competitions (including inter-club tournaments) since joining the Urban Warriors in 2010 and it would not be a surprise if other PSL sides are interested in his services.
