The Cameroonian midfielder initially joined the Norwegian side on loan but that spell came to an end after team's final game on Sunday Sandnes Ulf.
The player has now sealed a permanent move to Valerenga and has signed a three-and-a-half year deal.
"I am incredibly proud that I get the opportunity to give everything for this club. I felt at home from day one, and have been wonderfully well received," Ambina told the Valerenga website.
"I want to thank my teammates and coaches for the trust they have shown in me, and not least our huge supporters. You guys are amazing and I really look forward to playing in front of you for years to come. "
