According to insiders, it is believed that the Mother City club looks set to engage midfielder Thato Mokeke regarding his contract.
Indications from sources is that the club is set to be keen on keeping the player beyond the expiry of his current contract.
Siya sources have revealed to the Siya crew that a three-year deal is on the horizon for the 32-year-old.
"He is one of the most trusted players and the coach believes in him. He is one of the leaders in the team, hence they want to keep him for a longer period," a source informed the Siya crew.
"I am not sure whether it's a done deal already, or they are still talking. But the team seriously wants to keep until he retires. You know he is in his prime now. But for sure he will agree to stay as well," the source added.
When contacted for comment, Citizens chairman John Comitis, could neither deny nor confirm the talks.
