Cape Town City head coach Erik Tinkler has revealed noticed the frustration on the faces of the Kaizer Chiefs players before halftime.
Khanyiso Mayo's fourth goal of the DStv Premiership season guided the Citizens to a 1-0 victory at the FNB Stadium.

"What was important in the first half was to contain them, they are a team that is built on speed, so very important today that we didn't give them those spaces in behind and I thought we did that very well in the first-half, playing with really a back-five," Tinkler told SuperSport after the game.
"Once or twice they managed to get in there but we managed to cope with it. Darren (Keet) only really made one very good save throughout the match but we nullified them.
"We knew the longer the half went on, the more frustrated they would grow and we would stand a greater chance in the second-half because they are a team with a speed and you try to deal with the speed and fatigue was gonna set in quicker, considering that we played three days ago. So ja, plan worked well," he said.
The Bafana Bafana legend went on and explained that his triple substitution of Darwin Gonzalez, Jaedin Rhodes and Taahir Goedeman all coming on was inspired by the idea of capitalizing on spaces in the Chiefs defence, as he realized they were getting frustrated.
"I could already see the frustration in Chiefs faces just before half-time, they saw that it was difficult to break us down, we once or twice could have really caught them on a counter but we lacked the legs to get there," Tinker said.
"I could see the spaces were starting to open, so it made sense right at half-time to make those changes."
