As previously reported by the Soccer Laduma, Sibongiseni Mthethwa is also being monitored by Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United, but the sources have revealed that the Citizens are open to acquiring the services of Mthethwa and Fawaaz Basadien.
"What I can tell you is that City are interested in both players. I think they are aware that there are other teams who are also interested in Mthethwa, but they feel that they stand a chance to keep the player in the Mother City," a source informed the Siya crew.
"It's football and such things happen. And as for Fawaaz, they know him better because it is their former youth player and bringing him back will be the player making a full circle. But there are no talks yet, but interest from City, so we don't know what will happen yet," the source added.

The 28-year-old Mthethwa joined Stellies from Black Leopards and has been a consistent performer for the Winelands-based club with 28 league appearances to his name while 26-year-old Basadien has gone on to play 24 games since joining from Swallows.
City chairman John Comitis, could neither deny or confirm the interest in the two players.
"I have seen Basadien has done very well, hey. But not for now. I haven't spoken about it right now," Comitis said.
