Orlando Pirates will only have two goalkeepers at their disposal when they begin their CAF Confederation Cup campaign in March this year.
Bucs CAF Confederation Squad unchanged
As reported by the Siya crew, the Buccaneers have only registered Philani Zikalala and Brighton Mhlongo in their 25-man squad to compete in the intercontinental club competition.
Furthermore, the Parktown-based club has not made any changes to their CAF Confed cup following the registration deadline on Thursday, January 15.
Since the untimely death of Bucs' number one goalie and skipper, Senzo Meyiwa, the Soweto giants have struggled to find an able replacement for the fallen star, having relied on Mhlongo to step in as the current number one.
Recently the Siya crew has reported and updated on the likes of Platinum Stars, Siyabonga Mpontshane, Mamelodi Sundowns' Wayne Sandilands, Ronwen Williams (SuperSport United) all being linked to the Parktown-based club.
Most recently in an unexpected turn of events, Kaizer Chiefs and former Bafana Bafana captain, Itumeleng Khune has been added to the list of shot-stoppers Pirates are keen on bringing on-board.
