BIdvest Wits began their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign with a point against Guinean giants Horoya.
Wits boss Gavin Hunt made five changes to the side that was held to a 1-1 draw by Highlands Park on Tuesday, as goalkeeper Ricardo Goss, Zitha Macheke, Sameehg Doutie, Molahlehi Khunyedi and Elias Pelembe came to the fold.
The Clever Boys were making their first appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup group phase after annihilating UD Songo of Mozambique 8-1 on aggregate in the play-off round.
Meanwhile, Horoya, who are used to playing in the CAF Champions League, were knocked out of the top tier competition in the first-round by Algerian outfit JS Kabylie on penalties after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.

The hosts were unable to carve out clear goal-scoring opportunities in the first stanza, while Horoya were fancying themselves with counter-attacks but Goss pulled off a couple saves to ensure the sides went into the break scoreless.
The game continued to be on the edge in the second stanza, with Wits' attacks not yielding clear chances and Horoya also gave Hunt's charges some scares towards the end.
Second-half substitute Gift Motupa almost secured all three points for the Clever Boys, but his acrobatic effort was kept out as the encounter ended all square.
All the sides in Group C have got a point each after Al-Nasr of Libya and Mali's Djoliba Athletic Club played to a 1-1 draw earlier in the day.
Wits will take on Djoliba Athletic Club next Sunday in their second group match, while Horoya lock horns with Al-Nasr on the same evening on home soil.
