Gavin Hunt made wholesale changes to the side that beat Cape Town City in their last outing, as only Thulani Hlatshwayo, Buhlebuyeza Mkhwanazi, Zitha Macheke, Gift Motupa and Terrence Dzvukamanja kept their places in the side.
The Clever Boys had sustained pressure on the Libyan side in the first quarter of an hour and they were unlucky not to go ahead with Haashim Domingo denied by Al-Nasr goalkeeper Fathi Al Rasheed from close range while Phathutshedzo Nange fired just over the crossbar from just outside the box.
The hosts came close again to breaking the deadlock in the 27th minute after Gift Motupa pulled away at the near post but his shot was saved by Al Rasheed, but the frustration began to grow after Domingo squandered a big chance just before he halftime break.
Wits continued to create opportunities after the break but were not clinical enough, which prompted Hunt to make a double change in the 65th minute after bringing on Mxolisi Macuphu and Thabang Monare for Motupa and Domingo.
The hosts kept the Libyan outfit in their own half in the latter stages of the half, but Molahlehi Khunyedi had a great chance to find the breakthrough after going clear at the near post but his low shot missed the bottom corner across the face of goal.
In the end, the Clever Boys were unable to make their dominance count as they are rooted to the bottom of Group C with two points after three matches.
