Bidvest Wits may need to make it past this year's CAF Champions League finalists, AS Vita, if they're to make it into the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
The Clever Boys qualified for the CCC after securing third place in the 2013/14 Absa Premiership, and have a coach in Gavin Hunt that has led his teams into the continent on many occasions.
Wits were drawn against Swazi side, Royal Leopards, in the preliminary round of qualifiers and face trips to either Volcan Club de Moroni (Comoros) or Angola's Atletico Petroleos if they make it past them.
However, the club's biggest test will come in the second round where they are likely to face 2014 CL runners-up, AS Vita, should the Congolese side beat Petite Rivière Noire (Mauritius) or C. Ferroviario da Beira (Mozambique).
Hunt's side will be at home for all three of their first legs if they make it to the group stages, meaning that they will be forced to finish the job at their opponents stadium in every tie.
Wits' Potential Opponents:
Preliminary Round
Royal Leopards (Swaziland)
First Round
Volcan Club de Moroni (Comoros)
or
Atletico Petroleos (Angola)
Second Round
AS Vita (DRC)
or
Petite Rivière Noire (Mauritius)
or
C. Ferroviario da Beira (Mozambique)
The CCL preliminary stages will begin in the second week of February.
