North Africa dominate with the most participants in first knockout stage of the competition, with reigning African champions Al Ahly progressing to the competition's last eight in second place behind Mamelodi Sundowns in Group A.

Pitso Mosimane's men, who concluded the group phase with a 1-0 win over Al Hilal on Sunday, will now face Raja Casablanca in the quarter-finals of Africa's premier club competition.
Algerian clubs CR Belouizdad and ES Setif, meanwhile, are now set to take on Wydad Casablanca and Esperance, respectively, in the next round.

QF1: Al Ahly vs Raja Casablanca
QF2: ES Setif vs Esperance
QF 3: CR Belouizdad vs Wydad Casablanca
QF4: Petro de Luanda vs Mamelodi Sundowns
The road to the final was also decided during the draw proceedings.
The winners of QF1 will take on the winners of QF2 in the first semi-final, while the victors of QF4 will face the team that comes out on top in QF3 in the second semi-final.
