Madinda Ndlovu Proud Of Township Rollers

Madinda Ndlovu, Township Rollers' head coach, says that he was happy to see his side go toe to toe with Kaizer Chiefs over the two legs of their CAF Champions League tie. Rollers lost the game 3-1 on aggregate after losing 2-1 away and 1-0 at home, putting up a good fight against their South African counterparts over 120 minutes. The champions of Botswana will now return to their league campaign and attempt to qualify for next year's CCL, but Ndlovu says that he was pleased with how his team performed. Speaking after the game, Ndlovu said, "Overall I think the boys played a good game. It wasn't going to be easy playing a team like Chiefs, I said that before the first leg and I say it now. "Our game plan was to go out and get an early goal before they could, but we were drawn back by their tactics and their approach to the game. I'm happy that we managed to go pound for pound with them and I'm happy to lose to a team Chiefs' magnitude." Read: Baxter Pleased With Chiefs' Defence
