Levy Mokguthu, Zitha Macheke, Simphiwe Mtsweni, Josta Dladla, Christopher Matombo and Phakamani Mngadi were all left out of the Amakhosi's squad that will take part in the 2015 edition of the tournament, and are all only on the fringes of Baxter's domestic side.
Despite being signed at the start of the season, Mokgothu has yet to make a single appearance for the Glamour Boys, while Mngadi, another new signing, has played just five minutes up to now.
The exclusion of youngsters, Mtsweni, Matombo and Macheke don't come as too much of a surprise, nor does that of veteran Josta Dladla, who has today been linked with a return to Denmark as he approaches 36.
However, on the other side of the coin, the sextet's absence may also mean that they could be called upon in Chiefs' domestic campaigns as Baxter looks to rotate his squad and challenge for every piece of silverware available.
