CAF Super Cup

Full Time: ES Setif 1-1 Al Ahly (ES Setif Win 6-5 On Penalties)

Date: 21 February 2015

Venue: Stade Mustapha Tchaker

Algerian outfit ES Setif were crowned CAF Super Cup champions after beating Egypt's Al Ahly 6-5 in a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw after full time at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida on Saturday.

Abdelmalek Ziaya gave ES Setif the lead in the 70th minute before a late equaliser, five minutes into added time, from Emad Meteb saw the game end all-square.

Bassem Ali missed the only penalty in the shoot-out to see the Algerian outfit crowned the Super Cup Champions.

The first half was a rather quiet affair with very few chances in front of goal. Both sides were hestitant in attack and made poor decisions in the final third.

The first real effort on goal only came on the half hour mark when a 24-yard free-kick from Al Ahly's Abdullah El-Said went inches wide of the post.

Mourad Delhoum came close to scoring for ES Setif seven minutes later, but his strike was cleared off the line by Saad Samir.

The half ended 0-0.

Two minutes after the restart Walid Soliman missed a glorious chance to put Al Ahly in front as he fired wide from just inside the box under no pressure.

In the 64th minute Abdullah El-Said tried his luck from long range, but saw his strike sail inches over the ES Setif goal.

Six minute later the Algerian side took the lead after a swift passing move concluded with Abdelmalek Ziaya finding the back of the net, 1-0.

Three minutes later Saad Samir should have equalised, but somehow he missed from point blank range

Es Setif tried to defend their lead thereafter and they looked on their way to victory before a 94th minute goal from Emad Meteb saw the game end 1-1.

Neither side missed a penalty in the shoot-out until Bassem Ali fired wide to hand ES Setif the CAF Super Cup.
