Bafana Bafana are currently in Gqeberha, where preparations are underway for this Friday's clash against the Congolese, before jetting off to Congo to play the return match on Tuesday, 15 October.
However, the AFCON bronze medalists' camp has been rocked.
This after Broos confirmed in the media that Stellenbosch star Adams has been withdrawn from the squad due to disciplinary issues, just days after he played a key role in Stellies' side that lost out on the MTN8 final against Orlando Pirates in Durban.
While the Belgian coach would not disclose the nature of Adams' transgressions, the Siya crew has been informed that it was due to a breach in the national team's code of conduct.
Another blow for Broos has been the withdrawal of Pirates hardman Mbatha, who had to be withdrawn after suffering a knee injury.
The duo will be replaced by Mamelodi Sundowns' Bathusi Aubaas and Chippa United's Sinoxolo Kwayiba.
