Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos admits it would have been difficult to included Bruce Bvuma who is not getting game-time at Kaizer Chiefs.
While many have celebrated the return of Itumeleng Khune at Kaizer Chiefs, it has come at a cost for Bvuma, who has lost his place in the Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Sierra Leone and Botswana.
In his place, head coach Hugo Broos has selected TS Galaxy shot-stopper Melusi Buthelezi, following his impressive start with the Rockets this season. Buthelezi has kept five clean sheets in seven matches. Ronwen Williams and Veli Mothwa are the other two goalkeepers in the 23-man squad to take on Sierra Leone on September 24 and Botswana three days later, at FNB Stadium.

Bvuma has not featured for Amakhosi since the 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in August and has now lost his place in the senior national team. With age on his side, Bvuma can still work his way back into the team.
"You know that Bruce Bvuma has always been with us, but he is not playing anymore. And I already said last season, if you don't play it's difficult for me to keep you in the team. That's why we tried to look for other goalkeepers and you know I am someone who likes young goalkeepers, so that's why we took Buthelezi.
