Next month South Africa will have the chance to climb the rankings when they face Libya, but more importantly secure their spot in the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
All 16 of the top-ranked teams in Africa dropped places in this month's rankings (Morocco had it the worst as they fell three places to 43rd), while Bafana remains outside the continent's top 10, in 14th place.
A win in Libya would certainly do Baxter and his boys the world of good ahead of April's rankings, however, their main focus will be on reaching the AFCON and not where they currently stand in the pecking order.

Bafana are now placed 74th in the world following the release of the February rankings, sat level with Cape Verde and one place below El Salvador, with Stuart Baxter's side dropping two spots from their final position of 2018 – 72nd.
