Women Diski Still Neglected

Safa has deserted women football for far too long and despite the launch of SAFA National Womens League things still look as blury as they were in the past. The national football mother body has proven their incompetence when University of Johannesburg locked horns with First Touch Acardemy. Two elite league sides had their match delayed due to unvailibility of match officials. SAFA had not provided match officials for the league encounter and that will never happened in a PSL match. PSL teams have a privilege of their games reviewed and match officials fined should they be found guilty of anything unsporting. SAFA is responsible of referees in the country and must be held accountable for not providing referees for a national league. Their lack of transparency and accountability leaves a lot to be desired. How a footballing body never bothered to update teams with valid reasons of their actions?Historically disadvantaged women watches in envy, when their male counterparts enjoy all the privileges of personal sponsors and earning fat salaries, while they can't have match officials at their games. The least SAFA can do is to take women football more serious. Banyana Banyana' suffers because of the people at Nasrec. When leaders don't lead followers musn't follow. As the hosts of 2010 FIFA World Cup, South African football should have been grown, not only mens football but football in general. This thing of over looking womens football is not on.SAFA leadership must step down if is not ready to take our football foward. Football is not a mens sport but also women do play football. Be inclusive or else....
