An outgoing Orlando Pirates defender has attracted interest from abroad as he assesses his options for a new deal, the Siya crew understands.
After seven years on Pirates' books, though he had been sent on loan a few times, Justice Chabalala is set for a fresh start elsewhere, after being handed his clearance from the Soweto giants.
According to sources, the 30-year-old defender has attracted interest from Tanzania, with Simba SC understood to be keen on his services.
Up until recently, Simba has been home to Tyron Damons who has since been appointed as the new goalkeeper coach for Bucs.
Contacted for comment on Chabalala's Simba links, the Giyani-born player's agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi confirmed interest from the Tanzanian giants.
"It's true that there is interest in the player from abroad although I didn't want to reveal any names of clubs," he said.
"Yes, Simba did show interest, but that is not the direction that the player is planning to take at the moment. It's not like Justice wouldn't like to play outside of the country but for personal reasons the move wouldn't work for him at this stage. He's got a baby and isn't intending to be too far away from his family because of that," added Mulovhedzi.
