Cardoso: Be Grateful to Chiefs

I listened with keen interest to Daniel Cardoso’s self-gratifying interview with Robert Marawa last night in which he ran his mouth unchecked. The whole interview displayed an entitled player who took little responsibility for how his seven years at the club went by, instead he was defensive and blamed everyone. He displayed a brilliant defensive performance that he ever did for Kaizer Chiefs. He blamed the management, new signings, teammates and fans. I want to be clear I understood what Cardoso meant with regards to club bosses communicating their intentions early to allow players to secure their futures. I totally get that. Still, Cardoso you are within your rights and protected by the FIFA laws to speak with other teams when you reach the last six months of your contract. Comfort zone breeds entitlement, it looks Cardoso thought he would retire in Naturena and the news of his release came as a shock hence the non-stop moaning. I think you should have grace and humility for you are a very lucky boy. Many Kaizer Chiefs fans did not think you are good enough to have spent that much time at the club. Instead of sitting in studios and whining, take a look in the mirror and blame the man you see. You are leaving the club the same way you arrived with no honours to your name and it’s your fault.Kaizer Chiefs was built on prestige and the club shall remain. Good luck.
