Having been unbeaten since Pitso Mosimane's departure, Al Ahly will be hoping to pick up another win this weekend when they host Pyramids in the Egypt Cup.
The South African's last match in charge of the Red Devils was their 2-0 loss to Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League final at the end of last month.
Since his exit, which was only confirmed after Al Ahly's 1-0 win over Masry Salloum in the Egypt Cup, the Red Devils have picked up three victories and drawn one match.
This Sunday, the 2020/21 African champions will host Pyramids at home as their cup journey continues, but, although their recent unbeaten run has proved a big morale booster, they have conceded in each of their past three games.
Pyramids, meanwhile, have picked up consecutive wins in their past two matches, with their most recent defeat coming in an Egyptian Premier League meeting with Al-Ittihad Alexandria.
Al Ahly, who will have home-ground advantage, have scored first in four of their past five games, while Pyramids have scored less than three goals in five of their past seven matches.
