10 Best-Paid Manchester United Players After Bruno Fernandes' New Deal

10 Best-Paid Manchester United Players After Bruno Fernandes' New Deal

With Bruno Fernandes signing a two-year extension at Manchester United, here are the 10 highest earners at the club following the finalisation of that deal.

Click through the gallery above to see who the 10 highest earners at United are, and how much they earn weekly, after Fernandes' extension, according to Spotrac!

Fernandes has been arguably the most consistent performer in the United side since he arrived in England in January 2020.

Since then, only Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah have more league goals involvements (goals and assists) than the 27-year-old's 60. Since his Premier League debut, the former Udinese star has created the most chances and assists in the league.

Because of this, the Red Devils' hierarchy has rewarded the Portugal international with a contract extension that will see him wear the famous red of United until 2026.

According to The Athletic, Fernandes will now be earning £240 000 (R4.6 million) a week, which is almost double what he was previously earning.

It is understood the central midfielder did not receive the astronomical salary some of United's other players have upon his arrival from Sporting Lisbon because his wage package was just £50 000 (R959 000) a week in Portugal.

With this new contract, the A Selecao star has made a major jump and now ranks amongst the highest earners at Old Trafford.

With £510 000 (R9.7 million) a week, Cristiano Ronaldo has United's highest wages, followed by David de Gea on £375 000 (R7.1 million).

With his new contract, Bruno is just outside the top five earners at United, behind Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.

Meanwhile, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford are said to be paid £200 000 (R3.8 million) each week, with Harry Maguire not far behind them.

Anthony Martial is also among United's top 10 earners, but while he is on loan at Sevilla, the Spanish side is paying his £250 000 (R4.7 million) weekly wage.

This weekend, the Red Devils are back in Premier League action against Leicester City, and a win for Ralf Rangnick's side is vital for the team's top-four aspirations.
