A former Kaizer Chiefs striker has become the latest candidate to be linked with AmaZulu for the club's vacant coaching role.
With AmaZulu currently in search of a coach following the departure of Pablo Franco Martin last week, several coaches have been linked with the club including Ernst Middendorp, Clinton Larsen, Muhsin Ertugral and Bradley Carnell.

AmaZulu are at the bottom of the Premiership log after losing all three of their opening matches this season, which led to the Durban-based club parting company with Martin.
With the KwaZulu-Natal giants expected to replace the Spanish coach before the end of the international break, former Chiefs striker Wedson Nyirenda has become the latest mentor to be offered to the club, according to sources.

"Wedson Nyienda has had his representatives in South Africa offering him to AmaZulu for the vacant head coach role at the club. He is a capable coach and is highly qualified, and he believes he can do the job at Usuthu," said the source.
"He did well the last time he was in the PSL by leading Baroka FC to triumph in the Telkom Knockout. He can do well with a quality side like AmaZulu with the best players they have. He is an attack-minded coach who likes his teams to go forward and score goals, and with a structured defence," the source said.
