News reaching the Siya crew is that a former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder is contemplating his future at AmaZulu, with indications that a new deal could be on the horizon.

A source close to the club has revealed that Usuthu are believed to be open to keeping Keagan Buchanan beyond the expiration of his deal, which is set to end on 30 June.
Indications are that the 31-year-old has impressed management, with insiders informing the crew that the club looks keen to retain the player's services.
"As far as I am concerned the talks are ongoing. It seems because of the team's busy schedule, its not yet finalized but the team has put another two-year deal on the table and the talks are ongoing and they are promising," a source revealed to the Siya crew.
Asked for comment on the issue, AmaZulu media officer Brilliant Mkhathini, confirmed that talks between Buchanan and the club are underway.
"Yes, the process is ongoing. Its not yet done but the management and the player and his representatives are talking. Once its finalized, I will let you know," Mkhathini concluded.

Buchanan who has also played for SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic in his career, joined AmaZulu in 2021 and he signed an initial two-year contract.
