Siya sources have revealed that Usuthu are understood to be keen on extending the stay of Siphesihle Maduna, while it is believed that the club is also interested in bringing in former striker Somila Ntsundwana from Richards Bay.
"Yes, the contract of Maduna is expiring in June but the team wants to keep him for another two years. You know there is alot that has been happening at the team and that's why it has taken a bit of time. But you know he is an AmaZulu player from their development, so I don't think it will be hard to finalise the negotiations with him," the source said.
Another source added that the team is keen on beefing up the strike force for the new season.
"As for Somila (Msundwana) he has been at the team before and they know what he is capable of doing and maybe that's why they want to bring him back. But he is a Richards Bay player now and he is still contracted to them. If they want him it will all depend on the talks," the source added.
The 26-year-old has played 25 games for the KZN Rich Boyz this season, scoring three times.
AmaZulu Media Officer Brilliant Mkhathini was coy and refused to comment on the matter.
