Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace as Portugal thrashed Switzerland 4-0 in their UEFA Nations League encounter.

Ronaldo and Diogo Jota were back in the Selecao line-up after starting on the bench in the draw with Spain.

The visitors had the ball in the back of the net after just six minutes courtesy of a strike from Haris Seferovic, but it was ruled out by VAR for handball.

Portugal did go on to take the lead in the 15th minute thanks to William Carvalho's finish, before Ronaldo doubled the lead on 35 minutes.

Ronaldo completed his brace four minutes later before Joao Cancelo completed the rout for the home side in the 68th minute.

Spain remain winless in Group 2 after drawing 2-2 with the Czech Republic on Sunday.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when Jakub Pesek found the back of the net as early as the fourth minute, before Gavi pulled La Roja level on the stroke of halftime with his first goal for the country.

The Czechs restored their lead through Jan Kuchta just after the hour mark, however Inigo Martinez popped with the equaliser for Spain in the 90th minute.

Serbia proved too strong for Slovenia after romping to a 4-1 victory on Sunday evening at the Stadion Rajko Mitic.

Alexander Mitrovic put Serbia ahead on 24 minutes, before Petar Stojanovic restored parity for the visitors six minutes later.

However, the hosts took over in the second half as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Luka Jovic and Nemanja Radonjic all found the back of the net.

Norway maintained their winning start to Group 4 after defeating Sweden 2-1 at the Friends Arena.

New Manchester City striker Erling Haaland bagged a brace to put the visitors 2-0 up.

Manchester United's Anthony Elanga pulled a goal back for Sweden in second-half stoppage time, but Norway held on for the win.
