Messi-Less PSG Drop Points, Real Rescue Unbeaten Record

Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Benfica

Paris Saint-Germain dropped points for the second straight game without Lionel Messi as they drew 1-1 against Benfica in the French capital.

There were a lot of reports surrounding Kylian Mbappe's future before the game, but he was named in the line-up alongside the returning Neymar while Lionel Messi missed out through injury.

Mbappe got the opening goal for the Ligue 1 giants after converting a penalty six minutes before the halftime break.

The Portuguese side would get back on level terms with a penalty of their own, with Joao Mario converting in the 62nd minute to seal a point for his side.

PSG sit top of the group, level on points with Benfica who are five points ahead of third-place Juventus.

Group F

Shakhtar Donetsk 1-1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid's winning start in the UEFA Champions League was halted after rescuing a 1-1 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Karim Benzema was back in the line-up for Los Blancos, while Eden Hazard started ahead of Vinicius Junior.

Shakhtar broke the deadlock a minute after the restart as Oleksandr Zubkov nodded home a cross from Bohdan Mykhaylichenko at the far post.

The hosts were seconds away from victory until Antonio Rudiger grabbed the winning goal in the fifth minute of time added on.

Celtic 0-2 RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig moved up to second spot in Group F after defeating Celtic 2-0 at Celtic Park on Tuesday evening.

After a scoreless opening half, former Chelsea forward Timo Werner opened the scoring on 75 minutes while Emil Forsberg made the win safe by doubling the lead just ten minutes later.

Group E

AC Milan 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea moved to the top of Group E with a 2-0 win over Serie A champions AC Milan at the San Siro.

The visitors got off to a good start after being awarded a penalty after mason Mount was brought by Fikayo Tomori, who was sent off, and Mason Mount converted the penalty.

The lead was doubled in the 34th minute when Mount played in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who rifled the ball home with a first-time finish in the box.

Milan, meanwhile, have slipped to third in the group with two games left and are in danger of falling into the Europa League.

Dinamo Zagreb 1-1 Red Bull Salzburg

Dinamo Zagreb and Red Bull Salzburg could not be separated after playing to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening.

The Austrian side pulled ahead on 12 minutes through Nicolas Seiwald's strike, before Zagreb were level five minutes before the break thanks to Robert Ljubicic.

As a result, Salzburg remain in second spot in Group E while Zagrab sit bottom of four rounds of matches.

Group G

Borussia Dortmund 1-1 Sevilla

Sevilla remain without a win in the group stages after battling back to secure a 1-1 draw away to Borussia Dortmund.

The Spanish side opened the scoring on 18 minutes when former Bayern Munich defender Tanguy Nianzou nodded home a cross from Ivan Rakitic.

Dortmund got back on level terms when Jude Bellingham found the back of the net in his fourth straight Champions League game ten minutes before the halftime break.
