Xavi: My Teams Will Never Play Like Mourinho's
UEFA Champions League
Teams: FC Barcelona vs Inter Milan
Date: 24 October 2018
Time: 21:00
Venue: Camp Nou
The Catalan giants have been excellent in Europe so far this season, winning both of their opening matches against PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham Hotspur.
Against Spurs, Messi ran the show and contributed to all four goals in the 4-2 victory, but Barca will be without the Argentine for Wednesday night's clash.
Inter captain Mauro Icardi recently admitted that his countryman's absence gives his team a better chance of being successful in Spain, although the Italian side has not enjoyed its previous trips to Barca.
The Nerazzurri have failed to score a single goal in their past three visits to the Camp Nou, with their last match away against the Catalans coming in 2010.
The last time the two teams met in the Champions League saw Inter knock the LaLiga stalwarts out of the tournament while under the management of Jose Mourinho.
Defenders Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen will also be missing for the home side, and for the away team, a confirmed absentee is Belgian hardman Radja Nainggolan.
Barca are undefeated in 12 of their previous 13 Champions League ties, while Inter head into the clash on a three-match winning streak in Europe.
