Tottenham Hotspur were denied their maiden UEFA Champions League victory in Group B after they drew 2-2 with PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday evening.
Both sides came into the contest desperate for three points, having failed to win their opening two group encounters.
The sprung into life after 18 minutes when Spurs striker Harry Kane rattled the upright from close range before Eric Dier failed to convert from the rebound.
The home side took the lead against the run of play after 29 minutes, with Hirving Lozano dispossessing Toby Alderweireld before bundling the ball over Hugo Lloris.
Ten minutes later, Spurs were level when Keiran Tripper latched onto a pass from Christian Eriksen before cutting the ball back for Lucas Moura, who found the back of the net with a deflected effort.
The turnaround was complete for Spurs in the 54th minute, with Kane nodding home a cross from Eriksen after some impressive build-up play.
The woodwork came to PSV's rescue after 74 minutes as Kane did well to pick out Erik Lamela, who skipped past one challenge before thumping an effort against the crossbar.
Spurs were forced to play the final ten minutes with a man down after goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was shown a straight red card for dangerous challenge on Lozano, who was clear through on goal.
PSV made the numbers game count in their favour, as they produced an equaliser in the 87th minute thanks to Luuk de Jong's flick past Michel Vorrm.
In the end, 2-2 was how the score remained as both sides remain without a win in the group stages.
