Real Sociedad 1(0) - 2 (4) Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain cruised to the quarter-finals after a 4-1 thumping on aggregate following a 2-1 victory in the round of 16 first-leg at Reale Arena.
Kylian Mbappe was among the returnees for PSG, alongside Warren Zaire-Emery, Nuno Mendes, Fabian Ruiz and Bradley Barcola, five changes from their goalless draw against Monaco.
The Parisians could not ask for a better start after Mbappe sent them ahead within the first 15 minutes and gave them a 3-0 lead on aggregate with a sublime curling shot into the top corner.
Mbappe came close to doubling the lead for the visitors on the half-hour mark with a strike at the near post that was smothered by goalkeeper Alex Remiro.
Sociedad could not increase the tempo of the game and that suited the Parisians, as they were happy to let the Spanish side have possession in areas they were not dangerous.
Mbappe put the game to bed for Luis Enrique's charges early in the second stanza as he made 3-0, grabbed his brace and 4-0 on aggregate after he finished off a through ball Kang-In Lee.
Imanol Alcguacil's men played with more freedom in the closing stages and Mikel Merino got a consolation goal in stoppages from a rebound after goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma spilled Benat Turrientes' shot on his path.
Bayern Munich 3 (0) - 0 (1) Lazio
Bayern Munich booked their spot in the quarter-finals with a 3-1 aggregate win after thrashing Lazio 3-0 in the last 16 second-leg thanks to a brace by Harry Kane at Allianz Arena.
Bayern made two changes following their draw against Freiburg, as Matthijs de Ligt and Leroy Sane, who joined Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala and Kane upfront, were recalled.
The Bavarians were threatening in the early stages but Kane only broke the deadlock for the hosts and levelled matters on aggregate seven minutes before the interval with a shot from a rebound in the box.
Thomas Tuchel's charges went to the break with a 2-0 lead and 2-1 ahead on aggregate after Muller deflected a shot by de Ligt past the wrong-footed goalkeeper Ivan Provedel.
Bayern were out of sight on 66 minutes after Kane made it 3-0 and 3-1 on aggregate with a tap-in from a rebound after Provedel kept out a shot by Sane.
It could have been worse for Lazio 20 minutes before time after Muller was also denied his double after his shot came off the post.
