FC Barcelona 4-0 Borussia Dortmund
FC Barcelona edged closer to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after thrashing Borussia Dortmund 4-0 on Wednesday night.
Inigo Martinez, Fermin Lopez and Raphinha were recalled to the Blaugrana starting line-up after the 1-1 draw with Real Betis over the weekend.
These two sides met in the League Phase earlier this season, with the LALIGA side running out 3-2 winners in Dortmund.
The Catalan giants got the breakthrough in the 25th minute when Raphinha bagged his 29th goal by turning home Robert Lewandowski's effort at the far post.
The lead was doubled shortly after the halftime break as Raphinha turned provider and headed the ball into the path of Lewandowski, who headed home at the far post against his former side.
The visitors were in cruise control as they went on to bag a third goal in the 66th minute as a well-worked counter-attack ended with Lopez teeing up Lewandowski, who slammed home his second goal of the night.
The fourth goal arrived with 13 minutes on the clock as Lamine Yamal latched onto a pass from Raphinha before poking the ball into the far corner to round off an emphatic win.
Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Aston Villa
Paris Saint-Germain rallied from behind to secure a 3-1 win over Aston Villa in the first leg in the French capital.
Marcus Rashford was preferred in the attack ahead of Ollie Watkins while Marco Asensio was on the bench for Villa against his parent club.
The Premier League outfit got the breakthrough in the 35th minute as Marcus Rashford and Youri Tielemans combined to set up Morgan Rogers, who made no mistake from close range.
The lead did not last too long as PSG were back on level terms in the four minutes later through Désiré Doué, who cut inside and sent a superb strike into the top corner from outside the box.
The French giants turned the game around three minutes after the interval, as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia embarked on a special individual run into the box before rifling the ball past Emiliano Martinez.
PSG manage to secure a two-goal cushion in second-half stoppage time thanks to Nuno Mendes' strike.
