The round of 16 draw for the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League season was confirmed on Monday.

In each round of 16 fixture, teams that won their groups have been pitted against sides that second in the opening stage of Europe's elite club competition. Clubs from the same national association could not be drawn against one another.
Champions Real Madrid will face a tricky two-legged tie against Liverpool, who they beat in last season's final, while Paris Saint-Germain are set to compete for a place in the quarter-final stage against German giants Bayern Munich.
The French giants surprised many when they failed to win their group, with Benfica emerging atop the standing and now face a tricky fixture in the last eight. Manchester City, meanwhile, will take on RB Leipzig.

According to UEFA's website, the first legs are scheduled to be held on 14/15/21/22 February, while the reverse fixtures will take place on 7/8/14/15 March.
