Despite a bright start to life at Chelsea, this is why Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho has been missing for the Blues and is not expected to return any time soon.
The England international last featured for the Blues in the Premier League on 20 October, in a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Sancho made an impressive start to the season under Enzo Maresca, after the Red Devils agreed to loan him to Chelsea following a difficult period at Manchester United.
After three assists in his first three league matches, the 24-year-old failed to contribute against Nottingham Forest and Liverpool, before spending the full 90 minutes on the bench against Newcastle United at the end of last month.

He could not then feature against parent club United this past weekend, but he is also unlikely to return when the Blues host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, or in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday.
Maresca, meanwhile, has explained that Sancho has been suffering from a mixture of illness and injury, and says the winger might only return after the international break.
"Jadon is recovering from illness but he also had a knock in a session," he said, according to Goal.
"Tomorrow (Thursday) he is out but we will see if he can be available for Sunday's game, otherwise it will be after the international break for him."
