Manchester City could reportedly sign one of football's top players for only £25 million (R576.1 million) in the upcoming transfer window.
According to HITC, the Citizens are tipped to go in for Bayern Munich right-back Joshua Kimmich ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Premier League title hopefuls are believed to feel they could land the versatile Germany international's signature for just £25 million, with the player entering the final year of his deal in the Bundesliga.
Kimmich is said to be no nearer to extending his stay at the Bavarians, particularly with head coach Thomas Tuchel reportedly in talks to remain at the club beyond this season.
The German tactician had previously looked set to depart Bayern upon the conclusion of this campaign, but the club's failed pursuits of Julian Nagelsmann, Oliver Glasner, Ralf Rangnick and Xabi Alonso could see Tuchel continue at the Allianz Arena for at least another 12 months.
The report claims the 50-year-old and Kimmich have a strained relationship at the club, with it thought that the versatile star was waiting to see who was appointed as his replacement before deciding his future.
These latest developments could lead to City seeing an opportunity to move for Kimmich, whom Pep Guardiola said he "loved" during his time as Bayern coach.
With Kalvin Phillips expected to bid farewell to last season's treble champions in the coming weeks, 29-year-old Kimmich could be brought in to play several roles for the Manchester-based club.
