Man Utd Boss Makes 'New' Decisions On Casemiro & Varane

Manchester United's manager has reportedly made new decisions on the futures of ex-Real Madrid players Casemiro and Raphael Varane.

Rumours have suggested that a number of players at the Red Devils could leave the club in a significant clearout following the expected arrival of new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek are among the stars linked with departures, along with experienced Brazilian midfielder Casemiro and 2018 FIFA World Cup winner Varane.

The latter pair have battled at times this season in England, particularly the Frenchman, who has barely featured for United over the past month and a half.

Casemiro, meanwhile, has played just 12 times for the 20-time English champions due to an injury having kept him sidelined since October.

According to ESPN, however, Dutch head coach Erik ten Hag wants to keep the two former Los Blancos players at the club as he believes they can be important to his plans.

Both the midfielder and the defender impressed in the ex-Ajax Amsterdam manager's debut campaign in the Premier League, with the Brazilian scoring in the team's 2-0 Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle United earlier this year.

Varane, 30, has been linked with a return to Real amid the Spanish giants' defensive injury crisis, with David Alaba having recently been ruled out until the end of the season.

Reports have claimed that the France international would prefer to extend his stay at the Red Devils, although it is unclear as to whether or not Casemiro is on the same page as his colleague.
