Klopp's Liverpool Exit: 3 Candidates For Job 'Revealed'

Klopp's Liverpool Exit: 3 Candidates For Job 'Revealed'

Three managers have reportedly been identified as potential replacements for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool after the German tactician announced he is leaving Anfield at the end of the season.

Speaking in an interview for the Reds last week Friday, the 56-year-old German tactician dropped a significant bombshell when he revealed he would be leaving his post at the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign.

Klopp said he had already informed Liverpool of his decision in November last year, admitted he is "running out of energy" and that he wants to experience a "normal life" before it is too late.

While supporters of the six-time UEFA Champions League winners are still mourning the future loss of one of their greatest-ever managers, the rumour mill is already in overdrive over who could potentially replace Klopp in England.

According to Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso, Germany's Julian Nagelsmann and Brighton Hove Albion's Roberto De Zerbi are linked with the soon-to-be vacant position.

The same publication claims that, while former Spain international Alonso has a deal with the Bundesliga leaders until 2026, he would be allowed to leave if one of his ex-clubs, including the Reds, came knocking.

The 42-year-old has earned widespread recognition for the impressive work he has done in Germany, having won 41 of the 65 matches he has taken charge of for Die Werkself.

Regarding Nagelsmann, the German coach is likely to only be available after the upcoming 2024 UEFA European Championship. De Zerbi, meanwhile, has impressed since joining Brighton in 2022.
