At the end of last month, a court found the Juventus midfielder guilty of doping and handed him a four-year ban from the sport after he tested positive for testosterone last year.
The test was taken following a Serie A match between the Bianconeri and Udinese in August 2023, a match in which the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner did not feature.
Pogba, 30, has said he will launch an appeal against the ruling, while several of his current and former teammates have leapt to his defence, as well as Juve manager Max Allegri and Les Bleus head coach Didier Deschamps.
Speaking to Telefoot in a recent interview, ex-France international Rio Mavuba, who played alongside Pogba at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, said he believes his former colleague might have been duped into taking the illegal substance.
"(I am) in no doubt about Paul's sincerity and I think he may have been somewhat tricked too," he stated.
Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, meanwhile, has admitted what Pogba is going through at the moment cannot be easy.

"We're talking to Paul. He's trying to keep his head up even when everything is falling on him. I hope he will come out of this as best he can because having all of this to deal with at once is a lot," he said.
