Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea reportedly took a massive pay cut in order to join Serie A side Fiorentina.
The Spaniard spent an entire without a team after parting ways with the Red Devils at the end of the 2022/23 season.

The 33-year-old ended his search for a new club by signing with Viola on a one-year deal with an option to extend for a further year.
According to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, De Gea will now be earning £1.6million a year with his latest move.
This is a significant drop from his last earnings at Old Trafford, where he reportedly took home £5million a year.

De Gea was reportedly one of the Red Devils' highest earners in the last few years along with Paul Pogba and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have both since left the club.
Fiorentina will the third club of De Gea's career after spells with Atletico Madrid and the Red Devils.
