Earlier this off-season, the German tactician called time on his historic spell in Morocco with Raja Club Athletic to take on the challenge of coaching in the oil-rich kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Following his lone full season with the Green Eagles, Zinnbauer was appointed as the head coach of Al Wehda in the Saudi top flight, and on Thursday night, the Schwandorf native took charge of his first game in the division.
Despite a remarkable Craig Goodwin hat-trick, the Knights of Mecca were unable to gain victory over 10-man Al-Riyadh as their opponents grabbed a 97th minute equaliser, with the encounter finishing 3-3.
After the game, the 54-year-old was asked to give his first impressions on the league, and he said, as per Le360: "I came here with my desire and will. Everything is developed here. Our stadium is developed, and in Jeddah, there are also two wonderful stadiums.
"There are huge recruitments in the league, and here they have a huge project. I have been following the league since last season, everything is wonderful."

Zinnbauer also lauded his Australian striker for his goalscoring efforts, but lamented his team's defensive performance, adding: "Goodwin was one of the best players on the pitch. Defensively, we were not the best. There were big gaps between the lines. Next week, we have an important match, and with the new acquisitions, we will appear better."
