Last week, the former Orlando Pirates manager began life in the oil-rich kingdom when his Al Wehda side narrowly missed out on a victory, drawing 3-3 with Al-Riyadh.
On Wednesday night, Zinnbauer had the opportunity to gain his first win with the Knights of Mecca as they faced off against Al Orobah FC, and courtesy of a Murad Khadhari left-footed strike in the 93rd minute, the German's charges walked away with a 2-1 victory.
The encounter's scoring was opened by ex-United and Watford striker Odion Ighalo.
The Nigerian hitman scored within 50 seconds of the match starting, but later in the first half, Al Orobah equalised at the 33rd minute mark courtesy of a Zayad Al-Hanety header.
The former Raja Club Athletic tactician's players dominated proceedings throughout, having more possession throughout the match and creating more chances, but it seemed it would all be in vain until the dying moments of the match, when Khadhari managed to help his side clinch all three points on the night.

Ighalo would finish as the match's Man of the Match as the Mecca-based side ascended to fifth place in the Saudi Pro League standings, two points off top spot and reigning champions Al Hilal.
