The 22-year-old has started life at his new club in spectacular fashion.
Since joining Olympique Marseille, Greenwood has scored five goals and provided one assist in the six appearances he has made in the French first division.
He is slowly endearing himself to the Marseille faithful, cultivating a status like that of another Englishman who is a cult figure at the Stade Velodrome, Chris Waddle.
The former attacking midfielder believes interim England boss Lee Carsley is paying attention to Greenwood's showing in Ligue 1, and that there is a chance he could be recalled to the national team in the future should his form continue.
"He's a very good player," Waddle told FlashScore.
"He's got the No. 10 shirt and England seem to be producing a lot of good No. 10s these days.
"He's come out of the blocks very quick, started scoring goals from the off. The new England manager will be taking notice of this.
"We all know the French league is quite strong, but it's not as strong as three or four other leagues in Europe now, you've got to take that into account.

"It is not as strong as the Premier League, LALIGA or the Bundesliga. But all he can do is do what he's doing in Marseille. Score goals and play well."
