It is well known that Los Blancos are trying to get rid of the 30-year-old, whose relationship with Zidane is said to have deteriorated badly in recent weeks.
With links to China and top European teams, Bale's future seems uncertain, but more eyebrows were raised when he did not feature in Real's pre-season friendly against his ex-club in the Audi Cup on Monday.
Zidane, however, insisted the winger was not at his healthiest, saying doctors advised him not to travel with the squad.

"Bale didn't travel with us because he didn't feel that well," said the Real boss after the match, according to the Daily Mirror.
"The doctors said he was unwell and the best thing for him was to stay in Madrid. He's training individually in Madrid.
"That was a decision that we made — the club, the doctors, myself and Bale, too."
